Pricing and quotes
Money questions come first on almost every call, so here they are up front.
What does a call-out cost?
Nothing. Every job starts with a $0 call out, and you get a clear quote in writing before any work begins. You approve the price or we leave, no charge.
Do you quote before work starts?
The price is agreed before a tool comes out, and what you approve is what you pay. If we open a wall and find a bigger fault, we stop and re-quote first.
Are there hidden extras?
No hourly surprises and no add-ons tacked on afterwards. The figure on the quote is the figure you pay, whether the job takes an hour or the whole afternoon.
Does the quote cover parts?
Parts are priced into the quote, so the number you approve covers everything the job needs. If a supplier price shifts before we buy, you hear it from us first.
Bookings and timing
Speed questions come a close second to price questions. Here's how the scheduling actually works.
Can you come the same day?
Same-day where the schedule allows. Burst pipes and overflowing toilets jump the queue because they can't wait. Ring (02) 4063 3461 early in the day and we'll fit you in where we can.
What should I do while I wait?
Turn off the water at the main if a pipe has burst. Move rugs and valuables clear of the wet areas, and keep kids and pets away. Then leave the rest to us.
What if it's an emergency at night?
Call anyway and tell us what's going on. Emergencies get priority wherever they land in the day, and you'll get an honest time from us rather than a false promise.
How far ahead should I book planned work?
A few days is usually plenty for swaps and renovations, though busy weeks fill faster. Ring early, describe the job, and we'll book a slot that suits your week.

What plumbing services do you cover?

Can you handle commercial jobs?
Yes. Shops, medical suites and pubs around the suburb get the same quote-first treatment as houses. The commercial plumbing page carries the detail, so staff and customers aren't left waiting.
Do you work on gas?
Yes, gas fitting sits in the general plumbing hub: cooktop connections, BBQ points, heater lines and repairs, all done by licensed plumbers to compliant standards. Nothing gets improvised.
What about drainage and CCTV?
Drainage has a hub of its own: blocked drains, sewers and stormwater, plus CCTV camera inspections and high-pressure jetting that clear roots and debris out of old lines properly.

Why do the drains in older houses keep blocking?
Age, mostly. The pre-war cottages around the station and Waratah Park sit on earthenware clay sewer lines that crack as they age, and roots from the mature street trees push into the joints.
Can you fix low water pressure in old homes?
Usually, yes. Federation and inter-war homes near the station often still run original galvanised supply pipes that corrode and choke flow. We cut out corroded sections or repipe where it's warranted.
Which suburbs do you service?
Waratah plus the suburbs next door: Mayfield, Georgetown, Broadmeadow, Lambton and Waratah West. If you sit on the edge of that run, call and we'll give you an honest answer.
Why do hot water systems fail here so often?
The older detached-house stock commonly runs storage units well past their service life, and they tend to fail without warning. A repair buys time; a replacement ends the worry for good.
